I’m a certified massage therapist whose training includes Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial techniques. I have many clients who come to me because of my ability to do deep work and at the same time I pride myself on my ability to work with very sensitive nervous systems. My passion for massage lies in it’s ability to not only bring relief to strained or under-nourished tissue, but also help integrate our nervous systems in ways that can bring substantial benefit to our whole being.

The type of massage I provide is slow, intentional, and tailored to each individual in a given session. Our bodies are dynamic and change day to day based on a myriad of influences. Each massage session is an opportunity to tune in and listen to what our bodies are telling us. My priority is your comfort and well-being.

Before becoming a massage therapist I was a carpenter for 10 years. Carpentry was, in many ways, a fulfilling career that taught me about using my hands, time management, leadership, communication, conflict resolution, etc. On the other hand the need for productivity, efficiency and meeting deadlines despite unforeseen hurdles made it difficult to use my body and mind in a sustainable way. Most people I knew in the trades would tell a similar story. After a decade of abusing my body, being chronically stressed as well as constant exposure to environmental and synthetic toxins… I needed a re-boot.

Massage gave me an opportunity to use many of the skills I gained in carpentry, while simultaneously deepening in my own healing. My determination to learn and develop skills for living that are in line with the natural physiology of the human body and nervous system informs and strengthens my practice with clients. I’m interested in what actually helps people live a better life.
